Study #7
THE
SEAL
OF GOD

Be sure that you have completed studies #1 through #6
before starting study #7.

Summary
In study #3, we identified the Beast of Daniel 7 with nine different points. The Little Horn Power, could be no one else but the Papacy. Then in Revelation 13 we discovered the Papacy again is the only power on earth that fits the nine identification points of that chapter. We further learned that this power changed the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday and boasts that it is a mark of her ecclesiastical power to have done so.
In the act of changing the Sabbath from Saturday to Sunday, for which there is no scriptural authority, the Papacy deepened the apostasy that had been developing since the end of the first century, and added to the wine of Babylon (false doctrine) that all nations of the earth have been made drunk with. We learned that apostate Protestant America would form an image to the beast and soon pass a National Sunday law, which would usher in the Mark of the Beast. Everyone embracing Sunday worship would receive the Mark of the Beast in the forehead (belief system). Those who choose to work on Saturday, God's Sabbath, receives the mark of the beast in the hand. No one has that mark yet, but we do believe this is the generation of that very fulfillment.
God's Special Mark
God has a special mark, or seal or sign that he places in the foreheads (belief system) of His people. Would you be startled to learn that unless a person bears this mark at Jesus' return, he/she cannot enter God's kingdom? Would you be shocked to learn that most people are totally unaware of God's mark, and thus ignore it? One great prime purpose of Revelation is to identify and restore God's mark to His people. Few things are as important to God as His mark, and He is much displeased that mankind is ignoring it. Now let's examine this subject more closely.
1. In Revelation 7:1-3,
7:1 "And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.
7:2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads."
A mighty angel has commanded that the final winds of war and destruction not unleash their fury upon the earth and sea until something very important be completed. What is that important something?

"Hurt not the earth .... till we have__________the___________of our______ in their_____________".

Note- The angel is saying that God will not permit destruction to come upon the earth until His people have all received His seal or mark. With God, the marking of His people is an extremely imperative priority matter. Remember that in prophetic symbolic language, winds represent war, strife and destruction.
2. How widely will the serious messages of Revelation, including the truth about God's seal, sign or mark, be presented? Revelation 14:6
14:6 "And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,"

"....to every_________, and __________, and _________, and____________".

Note- Seal, Sign and Mark are used interchangeably in Scripture. Romans 4:11
4:11 "And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which [he had yet] being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:";
Ezekiel 9:4
9:4 "And the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and that cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.";
Revelation 7:2, 3
7:2 "And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea,
7:3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads."
What is a SEAL?
3. What is a seal? How is it sometimes used in a figurative manner? Romans 4:11
4:11 "And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which [he had yet] being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:"
Ephesians 1:13
1:13 "In whom ye also [trusted], after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise,"
Ephesians 4:30
4:30 "And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption."

"....a _______of the righteousness of the faith...."

"....you were ________with that Holy Spirit of promise,"

"And grieve not the _______ ________of God, whereby ye are __________...."

Note-In the Bible, two figurative uses of the seal are made:
A. A seal may stand for a truth or a requirement of God.
B. A seal may indicate God's ownership and approval.

What 3 Things Must A Seal Show?
4. What three things must a government seal contain?

Note- Government seals are used to officially identify laws and authorize legal documents for its jurisdiction. Such a seal must give the lawgiver's: A. Name; B. Title; and C. Territory over which that person or government body rules and has authority.
For example: A notary seal has that person's name (in this case Jane Baylor), their title- notary public, and the city or county of the state they are allowed to notarize in. (In this case Cleveland County, Oklahoma)

The president of the United States has a seal. It would show his name, title- president, and his territory- the United States of America.

5. What is God's seal and where is it found? Exodus 20: 8-11
20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
20:9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
20:10 But the seventh day [is] the sabbath of the LORD thy God: [in it] thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that [is] within thy gates:
20:11 For [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them [is], and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

"...the seventh day is the Sabbath of the________ thy God...For in six days the LORD ________ heaven and earth,...."

Note- God's moral law, the Ten Commandments, contains God's seal in the fourth commandment.
It states:
A. God's name ("the Lord thy God"),
B. His title or office as Creator ("made") and
C. His dominion or territory ("heaven and earth").

The fourth commandment sets forth in unmistakable language, the authority behind the Ten Commandments, the authority of our creator and the Government of God.

It is not only God's Mark or Seal, it is also God's Sign
6. Revelation is clear, we worship God because He is our CREATOR, Revelation 4:11:
"Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.;"
and REDEEMER, Revelation 5:9
"And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;"
What has God provided for His people as a sign, seal or mark of His creating and redeeming power? Exodus 31:16, 17
31:16 "Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, [for] a perpetual covenant.
31:17 It [is] a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for [in] six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed."
Ezekiel 20:12,20
20:12 "Moreover also I gave them my sabbaths, to be a sign between me and them, that they might know that I [am] the LORD that sanctify them."
20:20 "And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I [am] the LORD your God."
Note- God Himself, made the Sabbath a sign of His creating, redeeming power. When I keep His Sabbath holy, I demonstrate my acceptance of Him as my Creator and Savior.

7. Where does the great angel of Revelation 7 say this sign or seal of God will be placed on a person? Revelation 7:3
7:3 "Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. "

"In their ___________________".
Note- The forehead represents the mind. We serve the Lord with our minds, Romans 7:25
7:25 "I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God;"

When we consent to keep God's Sabbath we are marked, or signed in our minds, which are represented by the forehead. Our frontal lobes are in the forehead and this is where a belief system is established. Angels of God are holding back the fury of Satan, until God's people everywhere have accepted His sign. God is reaching His people all over the world to receive this very message, through personal evangelism, satellite, television, radio and short wave radio and He is using this web site to reach those of His people that might never had been reached otherwise.
Three Things God did to the Seventh Day to Make it Special
8. God made the Sabbath on the seventh literal day of that first creation week. It was before sin entered this world and over 2000 years before the first Jew. What three things did God do at creation that made the seventh day special? Genesis 2:2, 3
2:2 "And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.
2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made."

"....and He _______________on the seventh day....And God_______________the seventh day and ________________________it".

Note- God blessed and sanctified the seventh day. What God blesses, stays blessed forever,
1 Chronicles 17:27
17:27 "Now therefore let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may be before thee for ever: for thou blessest, O LORD, and [it shall be] blessed for ever."

"Sanctify" means to set aside for sacred or holy use. Just as the Bible is different from any other book, and the American flag is different from any other piece of cloth, so the seventh day is totally different from the other six days. That 24 hour period was made Holy by God.
For whom did God make the Sabbath?
9. For whom did God make the Sabbath? Mark 2:27, 28. 2:27 "And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:
2:28 "Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

The Sabbath was made for_________.

Note- God made the seventh day Sabbath for all of mankind everywhere.

10. God saw that men would forget His Sabbath. With what command did He begin the fourth commandment? Exodus 20:8 "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy."

"______________ the Sabbath day" .

Note- "Remember" means DON'T FORGET!
Did Jesus ever repeal the Ten Commandments which mandate Sabbath-keeping?
11. Did Jesus ever repeal the Ten Commandments which mandate Sabbath-keeping? Luke 16:17, 18
16:17 "And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.
16:18 Whosoever putteth away his wife, and marrieth another, committeth adultery: and whosoever marrieth her that is put away from [her] husband committeth adultery."

"And it is easier for__________ and___________ to________, than one____________ of the____________to___________".

Note- God's law and His commandments are the same thing and Jesus was specific here in identifying one of those ten. Matthew 5:17-19
5:17 "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
5:18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach [them], the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven."
Romans 13:8-10
13:8 "Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.
13:9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if [there be] any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love [is] the fulfilling of the law."
12. Which day did Jesus keep holy and how should that affect me personally? Luke 4:16
4:16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and, as his custom was, he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and stood up for to read."
1 Peter 2:21
2:21 "For even hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that ye should follow his steps:"

Note- Christ was our example in all things including keeping the seventh day Sabbath. Read this as if your eternal life hangs in the balance. God's word states it clearly. If anyone says it reads other then plainly stated, then they speak against God Himself.
13. What did Jesus say that lets us know that He had no plans to change the Sabbath after His resurrection? Matthew 24:20
24:20 "But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day:"

Note- Jesus said that they should pray that they would not have to flee in winter or on the Sabbath day. He was speaking of a time that was 40 years in the future, since He knew the fall of Jerusalem would occur in 70 AD.

14. How does Revelation refer to the people living in the last days who will be saved into God's kingdom?
Revelation 14:12
14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here [are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.";
Revelation 12:17
12:17 "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

Note- They will be Ten Commandment keepers and that includes the seventh day Sabbath.
15. In Isaiah 58:1
58:1 Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show my people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins."
God says, "Cry aloud and spare not" and "Tell My people" their sins. What sin is He specifically referring to in verse 13?
58:13 "If thou turn away thy foot from the sabbath, [from] doing thy pleasure on my holy day; and call the sabbath a delight, the holy of the LORD, honourable; and shalt honour him, not doing thine own ways, nor finding thine own pleasure, nor speaking [thine own] words:"

He said they were trampling upon His__________________.

Note- In Isaiah's day they were trampling on God's Sabbath seal. Mankind today are doing the same serious thing. God says that His own dear people that love Him, are trampling His Sabbath underfoot. His command is to "cry aloud" and explain the Sabbath to them, because His loving sheep will gladly follow Him in Sabbath-keeping when they understand.
16. What day will the saints keep in the new earth? Isaiah 66:22, 23
66:22 "For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
66:23 And it shall come to pass, [that] from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD."

The Sabbath created in Eden will be kept in Eden anew and throughout eternity. The breach made in God's law in the fourth century will be repaired, Isaiah 58:12 58:12 "And [they that shall be] of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in."

The sin of old Israel and modern Israel is the same. Trampling God's Sabbath. It will be Sabbath throughout eternity and not Sunday. True Sabbath-keepers are the repairers of the breach made in God's law and by keeping it holy and telling others, they are restorers of streets to dwell in. Will your allegiance be to God or the Papacy? Will you receive God's Seal or the Papacy's Mark? No matter how uncomfortable it may be to serve God faithfully, He calls you to step out and follow.
God's people, who He calls "My people" are in many denominations throughout Christendom. But now, He is calling His people to COME OUT OF HER. Revelation 18:4, 5
18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
18:5 For her sins have reached unto heaven, and God hath remembered her iniquities."
Her being the corrupt, apostate church. The Papacy initiated the change of God's Sabbath, and Protestantism today lingers in the apostasy of Sunday sacredness. Sunday is the day that was never blessed by God, rather it had its roots in Paganism. God commanded us to work on Sunday through Friday, Exodus 20:9
20:9 "Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:"

Is God calling you? Do you worship God on Sunday? Then if you will hear His voice, He is calling you as one of His people to COME OUT of her TODAY!

(See the supplemental study, "The History of the Change of the Sabbath")

The choice is yours friend. God loves you and would not force Himself or His law on you. You have the opportunity to embrace God's Sabbath and walk these last days of earth's history with His remnant people, or you can reject it. You will be marked either way by your choice. God's seal or the mark of the beast. Those who keep God's commandments are truly free.

May the Lord bless you as you make decisions that put you in the center of His revealed will.
